After just a short drive we enjoy a wonderful lunch and welcome bath at the Sky Lagoon where we enjoy their 7 steps of ritual. Sky Lagoon is Iceland’s all new geothermal lagoon is located oceanside. It offers an opportunity to experience warmth and wonder. Soak in the fresh ocean air, the sounds of distant wildlife, the sensation of warm geothermal water and the captivating views beyond the shoreline.
After this incredible experience, we continue to our accommodation in South Iceland which is great for Northern Lights viewing and photographic opportunities. This famous phenomenon happens when charged particles from the sun meet the earth’s atmosphere, resulting in kaleidoscopic lights dancing across the night sky. It’s the most magical and mysterious show in the world!

Day 2: Thingvellir National Park – Friðheimar – Gullfoss Waterfall – Secret Lagoon
Today will be short drive between some really fantastic places! First we visit Thingvellir National Park which is on the Unesco Heritage site for many reasons which our wonderful guide will tell us all about. It is the only place in the world where you can jump between two continents.
Have you ever been out for a meal in a greenhouse? We will go to Friðheimar and enjoy a unique lunch experience with tomatoes growing all around! Tomato soup and fresh-baked bread, as well as other goodies are on the menu, in a charming environment among the plants where we learn all about their tomato cultivation as well as visit their Icelandic ponies.
From there is a short drive to Gullfoss Waterfall, the most visited waterfall in Iceland. Gullfoss (translated to ‘Golden Falls’) is one of Iceland’s most iconic and beloved waterfalls, found in the Hvítá river canyon in Southwest Iceland. The water in Hvítá river travels from the glacier Langjökull, before cascading 32 meters (105 feet) down Gullfoss’ two stages in a dramatic display of nature’s raw power.
We end our day by soaking into the Secret Lagoon. The Secret Lagoon, known locally as Gamla Laugin, is the oldest geothermal pool in Iceland. It was made in 1891 at Hverahólmi, a geothermal area near Flúðir. What makes this place special are the rich natural resources of warm water coming from hot springs. Vaðmálahver, Básahver, or Litli Geysir (active geyser which spouts every few minutes), provide 100% of the water supply in the lagoon. The pool water flows continuously, and it takes only 24 hours to its complete replacement. Warm, clean, rich in sulfur, stays at 38-40 Celsius all year round.
Dinner together at the hotel in the evening before experiencing the magical Northern Lights in Iceland. Few sights are as breathtaking as seeing the Aurora Borealis dancing across the dark winter sky in Iceland so we hope they will make an appearance tonight!

Day 3: Seljalandsfoss waterfall – Skógafoss Waterfall – Kayaking on Sólheimajökull glacier – Reynisfjara Black Beach – Reykjavik
After check out we drive to the Southcoast to visit the famous waterfall, Seljalandsfoss. The waterfall drops 60 m and is part of the Seljalands River. You can take a walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
Our second waterfall of the day is the mighty Skógafoss. The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.
We make a stop at Sólheimajökull glacier where we go kayaking on the lagoon through the enormous glacier ice-caps – a completly incredible experience! This is the most exciting way to see the glacier. Nestled beneath the ever-evolving Sólheimajökull Glacier, you will be able to glide across the icy waters, weave in and out of the icebergs and enjoy stunning views of the majestic glacier outlet. It is a serene and profoundly beautiful place, which will give you a new perspective on the magical scenery that surrounds Iceland’s icy natural wonders.
Nearby is Reynisfjara Black Beach where we pay a visit. Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach With enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves, and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland’s black sand beaches.
