Bolivia Expedition
Partnering with Ricardo & Leo to create an unforgettable experience.

Meet Ricardo & Leo
Adventure Photographers
Ricardo and Leo are known for pushing the boundaries of landscape photography. They don't just take pictures; they hunt for conditions that most people sleep through. They approached us with a desire to take their community to the 'edge of the world'—Bolivia's Altiplano—but they needed a partner who could handle the extreme logistics so they could focus on teaching.
"Ricardo and Leo wanted to take their community to 'another planet."
Ricardo and Leo wanted to take their community to 'another planet.' They envisioned the Salt Flats, but not just a day trip. They wanted to sleep out there, under the Milky Way. The catch? 'We need comfortable 4x4s, good food, and we can't have anyone getting sick from altitude.' It was a tall order for such a remote region, asking for luxury logistics in a place known for being rugged and unforgiving.
The Goal
To take a group of photographers to the Salt Flats and Altiplano lagoons for astrophotography and landscape shoots.
The Challenge
Accessing the remote, high-altitude landscapes of Bolivia requires intricate planning to manage altitude sickness and transport logistics.
Specific Needs
4x4 transport, oxygen support, acclimatization schedule, and accommodation in remote locations.
Crafting the Experience
We tackled the altitude challenge head-on. Instead of rushing to Uyuni, we designed a slow-ascent itinerary starting in La Paz, giving the group's bodies time to adjust. We sourced a fleet of premium Land Cruisers equipped with oxygen tanks—not just for emergencies, but to keep energy levels high. For the 'wow' factor, we booked the entire group into the Palacio de Sal, a hotel built entirely from salt blocks, ensuring that even sleep was part of the adventure. We worked with local fixers to gain access to the flats long before sunrise, ensuring Ricardo and Leo had the empty canvas they needed.
Precision Logistics
Working invisible in the background, we curated every detail of the high-altitude logistics. We arranged specialized oxygen-equipped vehicles, selected the iconic Salt Hotel, and coordinated with local fixers to ensure safe, exclusive access to the flats for those critical pre-dawn shoots.
The Outcome
Participants captured portfolio-defining images of the Milky Way over the salt flats without any logistical hiccups or health issues.
