Meet Bea Adventurous
Adventure Fundraising
Bea Adventurous takes customers from the Sierra Leone Marathon, which raises thousands for the Street Child charity, and shows them the deeper, authentic side of the country. They bridge the gap between fundraising and genuine cultural immersion.
"Bea Adventurous wanted to extend the impact of the marathon runners."
Bea Adventurous wanted to extend the impact of the marathon runners. After the race, they wanted to take these runners deeper—beyond the finish line and into the real Sierra Leone. The goal was to meet the people, visit the communities supported by Street Child, and see the country's beauty. 'Show us the real Salone—the people, the history, and the hope.'
The Goal
To meet people and spend time with locals, showing the deeper side of the country after the marathon.
The Challenge
Sierra Leone is an emerging destination with limited tourism infrastructure, requiring a high level of on-the-ground expertise.
Specific Needs
Reliable guides, safe river transport, and accommodation vetting.
Crafting the Experience
We designed a route that told the story of the country, from the dark history of Bunce Island to the hopeful future of the chimpanzee sanctuary. We positioned it as an 'adventure with purpose'. We built the infrastructure where it didn't exist, chartering private water taxis to bypass traffic and vetting every lodge. But the heart of the trip was the people—we arranged village visits where runners could meet the very children their fundraising was helping.
Precision Logistics
We worked hand-in-hand with Bea Adventurous and Street Child to create a seamless extension to the marathon. We utilized our trusted network of local fixers to ensure smooth transit through checkpoints and secure boat crossings, handling every detail so the runners could relax and connect.
The Outcome
Opened participants' eyes to a misunderstood destination, driving funds directly into local conservation efforts.
